Did you know that there's a chance you'll loose your PO Number when the new Post Office in Sugarloaf opens? Had a talk with our Post Mistress. Apparently not all the box numbers in the current PO will be making the transition. She claims those people who's numbers are not being transfered will be assigned a new box. I'm not sure I believe her however. I've been screwed one too many times by the Post Offices up here when it comes to boxes to believe much of anything they tell me.

Having just paid for this year, I'm planning to throw a royal freaking screaming fit to anyone who will listen if I find out that I either don't have a box at all, or have been re-assigned a new number. It's hard enough getting a box in this end of the valley without this new wrinkle. Yeah, I'm so looking forward to informing everyone I have a new number. Gods knows I have nothing better to do with my time.

Oh, and by the way, if you're thinking of mailing a package between now and whenever the hell the new PO opens you're going to have to go to Bear City or BBL. They moved all the processing equipment for packages, certified mail etc to the new post office even though they don't yet having an opening date for that PO.
