OK...so...Mom and I were going there once a week and were told that they would be closed for a couple of weeks to re-model.

After the first week...I have seen no activity. Does anyone know what's going on?

From what I heard, the rent has not been paid and is several months past due. They owe Randy and Rhonda several thousands of dollars. The place has been completely gutted. Don't know if or when it will ever be back up. I could be wrong about the rent because I thought it was bought from Randy & Rhonda. Either way it's gonna be closed for a long time

Oh...that's bad news! We enjoyed going there and it's such a convenient location for us and any weekenders traveling up to Big Bear.

Yep, they closed about two months ago, said it was for remodeling and they'd be back up in a month. They started tearing everything out immediately, but stopped shortly thereafter.

And the Chinese Buffet story was another "cover"......Anyone remember the old "Robbins Roost" or "Robbers Roost" that used to be there. Can't even remember the old name anymore. But it sat vacant for years, like the other two buildings next door.

Wish something would move in there, but in these economic conditions and gas at $4.65 to $4.79 a gallon up here, it's not going to happen. Even dth, gas is averaging $4.45 a gallon.

Then there is always LumberBarron Pizza, which did fantastic business in 2001 to 2003, went down hill, and closed. If they had another 10 feet of parking lot depth, it would be a wonderful location. Backing up out of there was more dangerous than bungee jumping or skydiving....

Wow! I've been here since that location was the General Store, with a cafe, Bar, and Post Office in it...but I don't remember the Robin thing. Must have been one of the years I was off the hill for a while.

Photog...you and I and Errant should open a bar & pool hall with a Juke Box there. Keep it simple...I always say!

A booBEE bar will do much better than another eatery.

So sorry for the Rhonda name. I don't know which hat I pulled that name out of. It's probably due to lack of the Tomato Basil Soup I enjoyed there so much. My bad Robin

That is Randy and Robin's place.

They sold the place in Arrowbear... hopefully whatever is hanging them up will be resolved soon.

Maybe they'll open an Iowa Porker Franchise.....Something different than just another Mexican restaurant...or another grill, etc.

Actually, it doesn't appear as if it will open as anything, anytime soon....And the longer it sits all forelorn and vacant, the harder it will be to renovate and reopen. Maybe Sabro can turn it into a martial arts studio?

And we could have the jam there, Sabro? What'll you call it? The DoJo Depot?

Sabro, where are you? Off campaigning again? What's your platform besides blue tooths and chocolate?

I've been working on the project all day... although I did take a break for lunch and to play pool over at Jacks... We may wish to ask the owner over there.
