The County has hired a contractor to build a retaining wall next to the highway to keep Arrowbear Dr. from potential soil erosion.

Councilman Neil Derry is also in talks with some of the residents on the western portion of Arrowbear to reduce the speed limit by Neos drive from 40 mph to 30 mph. Apparently there have been a few accidents in that area lately. I live on the western portion and I signed a petition early last week. Turning left at Neos has always been a dangerous turn. I remember a few years back the drive in sign was demolished by a car speeding in that area. I think that retaining wall that is being built on Arrowbear Dr. is a great idea. I never understood why there was not some kind of railing in that section since it would be a steep drop if there were to be an accident there. I think it was about a year ago or a little more; that there was an accident on Arrowbear Dr. by where the wall is going to be built.

So is this work finished or when will it be finished?
When are they going to take those STOP signs down?

It looks like some multi-colored markings have recently been put on the road, pin-pointing utilities, so maybe they'll finish soon.
Making a left off Arrowbear back on the 18 is a nail-biter at the very least.
