The poop we use the pooper scooper.. Its the pee, that I was wondering if it ruins the artificial grass. Ha! Either way, we got live grass now... Our sprinklers are misters. So it only uses 25 % of water than regular sprinklers. With our water rates, you got to use the least amount.

Artificial grass is touted as low maintenance, but this last weekend I watched a show that showed special tools like power brooms necessary to restore height after it starts matting and clean small debris that accumulates. It seemed like just as much work as raking. It needs to be hosed off which seems like watering without automatic sprinklers, and anything that is dropped (ie. dog pooh, pine needles, bird droppings etc.) stays in place, hardens and plugs up the drainage holes in the backing. It doesn't grow and waste thousands of gallons of water, but it ain't easy from what I could see.

Everyone - Here is some good news for Cedar Glen when it comes to water. The following is a press release we released today after the Board of Supervisor's action on Tuesday.

Cedar Glen Residents Vote to Approve
Loan Repayment Plan

SAN BERNARDINO, CA – The San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters certified the results of a special district election in County Service Area 70, Improvement Zone CG (CSA 70 CG), Cedar Glen where voters approved a new loan repayment plan. The plan received over 90% of the votes during the August 28 election.

The loan repayment plan will more equitably share the water infrastructure costs amongst all parcel owners in the area that benefit from accessibility to water. The effect of this action results in the bi-monthly charges of approximately $114.34 being removed from the water bill of the current customers and a special tax in the amount of $84.00 being placed on the annual tax bill of all property owners within CSA 70 CG for 10 years. This results in an annual savings of over $600 for the current customers of CSA 70 CG water district.

“The voters overwhelmingly approved a plan that is fair to ratepayers and will ensure access to clean drinking water for many years,” said Supervisor Neil Derry
