I am so excited, I finaly found someone on my nanas side from Johnstown, the Peer family, my nana was put in an orphanage as a child, but she had contact with some of her family, but we never really knew much, so I am going to get her tree all the way back to 1749 (I do have alot of it already) but I can get more pics and be told stories and so much more.

Congratulations!!! That is really great!
We've had a hard time finding more of our Maternal Grandmother's family in Norway. They give every other child the Mother's family name, we've been told and fires in the oldest wood-built towns have destroyed the records in many areas. I'm teaching myself to understand Norwegian so I can search some more one day.

If you dont mind, could you email me at myroots1 at msn dot com, I am curios to find out if the person is any relation, there are alot of Peers from Johnstown that have moved to other states, Michigan included. They have reunions once a year and some of us stay in touch.
Thanks
