Thank you Vicki for all of your updates. When my daughter called me yesterday AM because she could see the fire from her bedroom window. My first thought was if you can not find anything via TV or other websites get on the Rim of the World.net because we have a wonderful team of folks that monitor the whole area.
You are amazing.
I am praying for a quiet day on the fire lines.

FIRE UPDATE: 7AM: Seems that the Lake Matthews fire has been contained, and will no longer appear on the map. The only one left is nearly contained but enough to be placed the map, which is the Windy Ridge. The lower level winds will blow the smoke to the Southeast , along the I-5 Freeway, and where the 215 and 15 meet near Temecula we expect it going Northeast over the Hemet Valleys and onward to the banning pass. Because the fire is rather small, no real danger of ashfall in the farthest locations.

FIRE UPDATE: 10AM - This update is to tell you the plume is expect to change direction in response to an incoming onshore flow. This means that the plume from the Windy Ridge Fire will be going North-Northeast over the Inland Empire and Ontario areas, heading over the Cajon Pass and intot he high desert. Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it's not there. It could be lightly spreading, but none-the-less it is going to be going that way. Will update further.

Good news for fire work!
Northern winds out of the Central California coast are speeding up and heading into the Western Catalina area. This will spin up an eddy, and cause the marine layer to move into the coastal areas within the next few hours. Should be a rather high marine layer, but dewpoints will increase along the coast. Labeled "L" is where we believe the eddy will form.
