Just another indication that people drive too fast through the Staters parking lot.

Firepooh-this is so true. I was checking the mail last night after 7 p.m. It is sometimes difficult to see when backing out from the post office. I'm happy to wait and the first one to pull forward repeatedly until I can back out. I'm just not in a hurry. This was maybe my third attempt to begin backing out slowly. A man in a beige sedan, was speeding through the lot, he begin honking his horn. I would normally appreciate the warning honk but this guy was driving so fast and we all know how difficult it is to sometimes have a clear view of other cars depending on what is parked next to you. The guy flew through the lot, crazy driving behavior.

ABBA-that is why I don't park in front of the post office anymore. I will park on the bank side but even then it is a gamble to cross the street without being hit by a speeder. I hate having to drive past my house on the way home from work to go get the mail but it was easier to change our box to Arrowhead after the Crest Park office closed since our mail was going there anyway.

People drive too fast PERIOD. It doesn't matter if it is a supermarket parking lot or Highways 18 or 330, they have got to get where they are going ASAP. That is more important to them than safety. Sad but true.

On the other side of the coin, I have noticed many people walking around the Stater Bros. parking lot not looking for any oncoming vechiles. The pedestrians needs to look out for their own safety as well.

I was limping through the Stater Bros Parking lot on an injured foot when a delivery van came around the corner and actually skidded to a stop before hitting me. Then he revved his engine until I got by and inched forward a bit at a time and passed so close behind me that I felt it. I looked and no one was there before I started walking. He didn't bother to stop and make sure no one was walking. I happened to be moving as fast as I could and it was very obvious by the crutches that I couldn't go terribly fast.

I did call the number on the side of the truck to ask if there was some sort of vegetable emergency I didn't know about that would make their driver almost run me over.
