This might not be why this article appeared but it was written the day after my event. A foster child that I was caring for decided that she would make a suicide attempt. When 911 was called they were fantastic and help was on its way - only problem, their system did not display my address correctly and the sheriffs were sent to the wrong address. This could have proven deadly since my foster child was threatening both she and myself with a knife. It wasn't that my address wasn't displayed on my house (even though it does sit back and is surrounded by trees). Though I still have no idea why this happened they told me at that time that it would be corrected. The situation was handled in a terrific manner and the child is recieving the help that she needs but just thought that it should be brought up and that people should somehow make sure that it doesn't happen to them. It might save someone sometime.
