Trader Joe's is a chain, with locations all over Southern California, at least....Is it just the guy down in Redlands you are referring to?

We used to go to the Trader Joes in Culver City starting in 1984 before they branched out this way. They now have Trader Joes in Dallas, Tulsa and other large cities. Joe Colomb (sp) is the owner and originator of the stores. We were there today in Redlands and the place was packed as usual.

I haven't been for awhile. Used to go to the store down in La Mesa. I think I did a radio commercial for them once.....back in the very early 80's.

Joe (Colombo, or something like that) and his wife live in the Pasadena area. He even writes a wine column for the Pasadena Star-News.

Pasadena, by the way, has 3 Trader Joe's. So there!

A family member has worked at Trader's Joes for over thirty years. Joe C. no longer owns TJ's, he sold many years ago to a German company. They are the ones who are doing the expansion across the country. There will probably never be a Trader's on the mountain, they could never have the foot traffic that is their MO.

Lake Arrowhead Investors LLC shows on the county records as being the owner of Lake Arrowhead Village. However, there is another entity called Pacific Capital involved. They appear to manage/own numerous commercial projects mostly in the western states. Their website is: http://www.pac-cap.com/ I was referred by the attorney representing the owner to speak to an individual at Pacific Capital. Pacific Capital Chief Financial Officer Jim Williams is quoted in the news article that I wrote.

I will be following this case closely.

Yep, I knew Colombe was centered in the Pasadena area. He definitely owned the stores when we first started going there. We got a few things at Jensens this afternoon and they were quite busy. They've marked down quite a few things but some are still very high.

I heard this was all drama about trash removal. The ammount of money wouldn't be worth the cost to move the eventory.
