There were customers who returned 25,000 pills?

I'm sure that there is a protocol of dealing with unclaimed medicines and customer returns that doesn't involve storing in a garage. I believe that unclaimed meds go back into stock. That's a lot of pills being stored. I suspect that the books will be audited carefully and a lot of information will be gained.

Pills can't be returned to stock if returned. They are actually treated as a hazmat. they can cause all kinds of problems if flushed, etc. I know Heaps Peak occasionally has a collection for old meds when they do the hazmat collection.

They also can't be stored at home.

Maybe the article is misleading, but it said the pills were identified as generic Soma. I took that to mean they were all that pill. What are the odds of that many of one pill simply being left unclaimed at a single pharmacy?

unclaimed=unwanted. Sorry.

Would anyone be kind enough to tell me where the Lake Gregory pharmacy is so that I don't have to page through all this? Thanks.

Anyone have the article that talks about how many pills and what they were? I guess I threw mine away. But I remember that the Bank Robber said she got a bum rap because there were not that many pills there!! Also, I thought I read that there was a mixture of pills - not just one kind??

DevKon - you are right, of course, they were Soma - a muscle relaxant. What would bother me is that they found medical records of patients in her house or garage. How does she get medical records?

Would those "medical records" be the pharmacy records of prescriptions? Any records stored at the owners home is not a good thing for privacy and likely violates the law.

How many times have I overheard Wrong-Aid customers bashing RA and talking up how great LA Pharmacy is????????????????
All I can say is check your bag and pill bottle before you leave the counter.

DR_Lake Gregory Pharmacy is located on Forest Shade, right off of Lake Drive, it is in the Medical Center across the street from Round Table Pizza...in Crestline of course. Jeff is awesome and will take good care of your needs. For info tho they do not honor insurance coverage.

Lake Gregory - No insurance coverage??? That's not good for Medicare folks with coverage D. I was hoping they could help me.

Well, there go my chances of finding a pharmacy up here that is not too far out of Crestline, that carries the generic I am compatible with. Rite Aid was fine until they changed their supplier and their meds gave me a bad reaction. Lake Arrowhead does carry my generic and takes my insurance. I sure hope they find another licensed pharmacist to handle the business.

Thanks, Glitzy. I want to go somewhere that takes my insurance, though. I guess it's back to Advance Pharmacy just south of the 210 on Waterman. Wayne the Pharmacist is great. The location just isn't as convenient.

Ok let me gets this straight. The Mountain News reports the bank robber starting robbing banks to pay for his medication for pain medication, right? He just happens to befriend a "soon to be divorced" pharmacist? How convenient. Also, HE states the pill bottles didn't have as many drugs in each bottle as reported....exactly how would he know if he wasn't suppose to be involved with the drugs stored in her garage in the first place? Furthermore, how would HE know exactly what drugs were being sold on the internet if she stopped selling them back in the Spring? Very odd.
