I know the fireworks show is off in Crestline. I was wondering if Arrowhead is still having theirs? If so, when?

Sorry. I was lazy and just didn't look down far enough for the other thread.

In today's Sun it was noted that new fines are in place for use of legal fireworks in illegal places, (like up here) and use or possession of illegal fireworks anywhere. $1000 with no warnings or equivocation. Up to $10k if you have enough in your possession. Teams of Sheriffs and firefighters will be out listening and looking for the yahoos who are eager to part with some cash.

Are we having fireworks over the village on the 4th?
Sent: Tuesday, July 1, 2008 09:36 AM
Oh my gosh...I hear that they are moving the fireworks show to the marina area! That will be a big shock to some folks expecting to see the fireworks by the village. Maybe that's a better place for the majority of the people. Let's see what happens.

God Bless y'all

ALA says the fireworks will be in the same location as always.

Will the forecast for relatively high winds be a problem for the Lake Arrowhead fireworks display? The weather forecast for the night of the 4th is calling for increasing winds, 22 MPH at 9:00 PM; 24 at 10 PM and 27 at 11 PM. Does anyone know what the maximum allowable wind is for the show to go off as planned?

The fire department only gets concerned when hot air from Cedarpines Parks starts blowing. You never know when it'll blow, but more likely before 8:00 am or after 5:00 pm.

I understand there have been strong gusts of hot air from CPP in recent days.

I heard a rumor that they are going to have the fireworks show in the sky this year. Does anyone know anything about this? How will this affect our viewing? Will we have to look up to see the show? What about people with short necks…is this fair to them?
