It's Arizona. Good eye, how could you tell?

And the first rule of vots is you don't talk about vots. The second rule of vots is you don't talk about vots.

Gotcha about vots.

The alluvial fans and big high heights over them near people gave it away. I know my West. Type in western scenic photos on google and you'll see what I mean.

Love your stuff...

Arizona seems to be easier for photography than southern California, although it usually takes a lot more work getting into position to take shots.

I had to climb this http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff226/chocolaterain12/... for the last shot. That got kinda scary in spots.

Looks nice and scary. I have climbed that kind of terrain in the Tonto National Forest near Scottsdale a few years ago and got some great shots, and even had some snow in late spring against saguaros and sky--your kind of picture. A lot of people think of Arizona as a desert, and aren't aware of facts, like there is a mountain range--the White Mountains--in the middle of it that hits 12,600 feet (Humphrey's Peak, 1,100 feet higher than anything in Southern California) and is covered in snow for a good part of the year. That shot is a great one too.

Humphreys is an awesome view. I've hiked up there many times, especially when I was training to do Mt Whitney. I agree, AZ is so much more than desert, there is just about every kind of terrain you could think of. The top thousand feet or so of Humphreys is even considered tundra, there's signs saying keep of the tundra and everything.
