Hey you guys...

Lott'a music comin' at us this weekend. Starts off with the Old Fashioned Picnic at the lake 10:45. Myself and John and Sally McGill will start things off followed by 'Quartetto di Suona' and the 'No Outlet Band.' 'The amazing Illussions Of Magic 'J' will take the stage followed by 'The Musclecar Blues Band' and the 'Blues Badgers.'

The Jam Days parade on Saturday starts at 10:00 A.M. with music beginning at around noon with me, John, Sally and the amzing singer/songwriter Dennis deCastro, my partner through the 70's... cannot wait to hear the harmonies. 'Nothing Matters' takes the stage after that followed by 'Born Blue' a great classic rock and blues band up from Lancaster.

Sunday it's the Chili Cook Off at the lake 10:30, music starts at 10:45. The band for the day is 'This just In,' one of the greatest bluegrass bands I've ever heard.

the Sunday Jammers will have their own area to jam in at the Cook Off. Be there earlier in the day as we can only jam til' about 6 P.M..

That's about it. See you guys this weekend.

Hey Sky, I didn't see you today. Now I'm REALLY burned!
So do we have to sign up before hand, for the Chili cook off? Can I just bring my chili tomorrow? What time do I have to be there by?

Hey Reg, Rich said you owe him $0.50. The Sunday Jammers all got a $0.50 tip. You promised them $1.00. Pay up!
He also said, "you can still play, even if you can't talk. The show must go on." (JK)

All I can say is that George, Beau, Pat, and Rich pulled off a good set to promote our group. Hats off to all of you for doing so well.

Really, really, really wanted to make this. I was even thinking of coming out of my musical shell to sing/play again. At the same time. But it was the only day this whole summer we could record the quartet to put something up on their MySpace page. Lasted all afternoon until it was time to go DTH to pick up our house guest this week.

What's happening this week? Are we jammin' or all going to go over to the Chef's Inn to see Nothing Matters? Or both? (Maybe they'll let us jam there?)

It kept going nowhere. I thought rotw.net was down and kept trying.

Now reduced to a single post...

I'm so frustrated. I've had so much trouble with my POC Dell that I went out and spent the big bucks on a MacBook after my son nagged me about it for a year. He guaranteed me that my problems would be gone forever.

Yeah, right. I'm having problems uploading (and I do a lot of uploading for work) plus now I have to reboot every time I post a message here in order to get back to the site. I can't even troubleshoot it because I don't know the OS. I've been on-line and I am not the only one having trouble with Leopard.

Anyone a Mac genius here? Help!

What brand of wireless router are you using, gal? It's not your Mac or Leopard, trust me
Sent: Saturday, July 12, 2008 08:34 AM
When the POC Dell sitting on the table right next to the Mac uploads the very same file at lightning (by comparison) speeds, then it's the Mac, not the network. If you try googling upload problems with Leopard, you'll find I'm not alone in this.

Belkin F5D8233,WEP secured. Firefox 3.0. Safari fails too. Small ftp files with cyberduck seem to work--I haven't tried anything larger than a web page so I don't know. Maybe I'll try a larger file later today. The files I'm trying to upload are less than 10MB but over 3MB.

Large downloads stall as well. On Firefox, I can click pause and resume and the download will complete. (I installed Firefox from a CD, I didn't have to download it.)

rspringsgal@musiconthemountain.org

I'd appreciate help but it may have to wait until the 25th. I'm off to Wisconsin on Monday and have four days of work to finish by then. 12 hour days without mac troubleshooting. (14 yesterday, but who's counting?)

Tnx!

Posting here seems to suddenly work fine. Maybe that was Verizon. I love to blame Verizon for my woes.

My kid, the technical surgeon, as he calls himself, found a patch for this. Now to figure out what to do with it...
