I would report it to the fish and game and take pictures for them to document it. Also for you catch and release folks, it's illegal to release one that you caught back into the water because they are an invasive species. I grew up back east and they're definately not a welcome sight here, but one had to have been released because there is no way at all that they migrated. They can live out of water for a long period of time and can move from one body of water to another over land. I do know a bit about them and it's not right that someone saw fit to let one or more go here!!!! They get a foot hold and all the other fish don't stand a chance against them.

You sure it's not just a northern pike or walleye?
Those are also not native, but good eating, especially walleye, and relatively harmless...

Northern Pike would wipe out the trout just a quickly as the snakeheads would. Leave all you favorite eating elsewhere please.

I'm not introducing species, but Northern aren't snakeheads.
Besides, LG is a cesspool anyway, I wouldn't eat the trout or anything else out of there.
Where is that most annoying poster thread again?

I had some piranha that got too big for my tank. I let them go in Lake Arrowhead a few years ago. I wonder how they are doing?
