I know you thought that since i had a bunch of black bags of pine needles I wouldn't notice what you did, but I did!! What a jerk you are, I already have more than five bags out there so just cost me an extra couple bucks.

I so wish I would have got you doing it, how much of a crappy neighbor can you possibly be!

When I lived in Crestline years ago we only had trash pick up if we called and ordered it. At that time my husband was taking our trash down the hill to a dumpster at his office. Someone left two bags of trash up on the street in front of our house, assuming we had trash pick up. I was as mad as you are. Some people are really inconsiderate!

Someone must have thought it is better to give than to receive.

That stinks! I have good neighbors who have asked on occasion, if they could put something out with my trash.
No problem!

adp - I can understand your position. Years ago, I kept a trash trailer. One weekend, it was filled with trash from a party that some USC fraternity had up the street. They were dumb enough to leave several papers with their info on it.

I got so PO'd, I actually drove to LA and dumped it on their lawn.

As for your immediate problem, just save some bags til next week, or check with one of your neighbors to see if you can add the extra to theirs.

It appears we inherited some too (we're on the same road)not like we didn't have enough bags already waiting for pick up. First they take the recycling then they leave their trash....awesome.

Missed the boys for trick or treating....we didn't get one trick or treater this year....bummer. Pumpkins out and all.

I recently heard some young guys bragging about getting paid to do yardwork, taking the bags, when they left with the promise to take them to the dump, then leaving them on a dark street and saving the fees! I don't know who's raising the kids these days. Sorry, you may have been a victim of these kids work ethic!

Can you give a description of them, to save others from making the mistake of hiring them?

This is really nothing new. Many, many years ago I had a neighbor who hired some kids to clean her lot. They were putting the leaves/needles in a wheelbarrow. walking across the street, and dumping them on MY lot.

I just happened to catch them, coming home from work in uniform. They were upset that I made them take it all away.

Are you folks really being charged for your bags of pine needles? I know they say they'll charge per bag. I've set out bags several times a year, usually a half dozen or more, and I've never been charged.

I've never been charged extra either. I would just claim that I didn't authorize them to pick up extra bags. They usually just pick up everything we have. Sometimes 1, sometimes a dozen. No big deal.
