I just got the neatest email from Al Asad, Iraq. It was from Sandra, who calls herself a Big Bear Lake girl. We just sent her a whole bunch of boxes to share with her fellow female SeaBees. Is that cool or what!!!!!! You can help us keep the boxes comming to her by sending a donation for postage to us. You can check out our web site: All our contact info is on site. www.touchofhomeformilitary.com
She says she has 500 Seabees in her Battalion. You can drop off fun "female" items at the Interlaken Bank in Big Bear. We love to send nice soaps, lotions, female supplies, etc.
Thanks! Watch for our BOOTH at the Convention Center this fall.

I'm still a fairly newbie here in BB, so I don't know her. But will do what I can to support her and keep her in my prayers while she is still over there!

This is a very worthy cause. I have personally supported them by sending supplies and I know of several churches that also support this. Touch of Home was started by Diane Boone's parents and they are constantly sending her battalion packages.

Glad to hear Sandra is remembered by her home community. :>
TOUCH OF HOME was started by Bill and Diane Boone, parents of Sgt. Rebecca (Boone) Iacolino. Rebecca started sharing her boxes nearly 6 years ago while deployed at the begining of the Iraq War. Now 6 years later we are a 501c3 Nonprofit corp sending 300 or more care packages to Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnea, Kores, and Kosovo a month. We are based in Crestline but have a drop box at the Interlaken Bank in Big Bear. We will be up at the Convention Center with our Booth Labor Day Weekend and again the first week of Oktoberfest. You can support Sandra with donation of $$$ to Touch of HOme. Check out our web site for info: www.touchofhomeformilitary.com Thanks for helping Sandra and her commrands and us with shipping costs.
