Good morning Tink! We had 4 scary days with our dog, he was in the pet hospital (in fact two different ones.) He had two lung lobes removed in 2001, and that left a cavity that suddenly filled up with fluid, constricting his remaining lung capacity. On top of that he had an infection, and at first they thought he had cancer, ran numerous tests, etc. All inconclusive.. Might be something else, but none of the blood work, urinalysis, xrays, ultra sounds, and sampling of fluid inside the lungs in the suspicious areas or in the fluid that built up around the lungs revealed anything. We have one more test to do in about 3 weeks. he is home and doing much better now.

I'm sorry Roger, your poor dog. So hard when animals are sick, they can't tell you what hurts.
