spablossoms - the state just passed a bill giving us five additional years to rebuild. The County did the opposite.
Try contacting the Supervisor's office. The phone numbers and emails are listed on the
www.sbcounty.gov site. Just look under Board of Supervisors and you can get all of that info.
Let them know how you feel. We posted most of this information already but, off hand, I can't remember if it was on this site or the CG site.

Found a website for property owners to review... This seems strange. I am new to this, since receing a letter. But trying to find out info. There is a county supervisors webpage
http://www.sbcounty.gov/main/countyvision.asp clicked on the tabe for board of supervisors meeting. Clicked on the one for June 23rd meeting minutes. Read down to one for "Land Use Services"
# 27.
REVISED -
1. Declare that the subject properties are substandard, a danger menace to public health and safety, and that the properties constitute a blighted condition.
...it had a pdf file to open. Its states on the bottom of page one and top of page 2..."The structures are un-occupied and the owners and other interested parties
were notified of the order as per County Code, but have failed to rehabilitate or demolish the non-compliant structures and remove debris. It is now necessary that demolition and/or debris removal be accomplished by the County to abate the violations through a private contractor...."
So my question is...How does a meeting on June 23rd say they notified owerns as per a "unknown county code" and we failed to rehabilitate or demolish our property? The first "county code" letter received was dated JUNE 30TH.
How were the property owners notified? Is county code approval a meeting up at the high school? Did that meeting notify "ALL Property Owners"? NO it did not. Hence, meeting notes conflict from where I read this.

Exactly my point. County has an additional 5 years to "repair" from the fires. Why do we get treated like cattle and told to heard one way only...Aug 1st.
I see a request for hearing as the only way for folks to get individual treatment for their specific situation on their property. No one wants to be glazed over for one dictated instruction for so many specific situations on each property.
At the most there could have been possibly several different letters sent out depending on your specific property situation.
Still looking for the county instructions. Thanks so much for your help. Many folks don't know where to do...and want the information and I don't see it posted as yet. I will keep looking.

spablossoms - contact the Supervisor Derry or his chief of staff, George Watson, directly. They are the ones who made this order. You may also talk to the field rep for our area. I think it is Jamie but you can ask the receptionist and she will tell you. They are always very nice to callers and try to help.

If it's any consolation, there was a fire a couple of years AFTER the Old Fire on Pine that destroyed two structures completely and left one a burned out mess (but barely still standing). These properties are not only a major eyesore but the cabin that's still standing is a danger as well as the dead oak tree and crumbling cement parking deck next to it. But, has the County stepped in to clean up this mess? NO! Have many people reported these properties to code enforcement? YES!
So, my question is, why is the County so gung-ho on IMMEDIATE clean-up of foundations and chimneys when a structure that IS dangerous and could result in a law suit is still standing?

By the way, one of the neighbors of the mess on Pine IS a county code enforcement officer, but his complaints don't seem to count either.
