A very sweet black female pit mix came into our shop today. She is very friendly and scared. She has a collar but no tags and I have no way of taking her to the vet to find out if she is chipped. I cannot feel a chip in the area though. Anyone missing her, please call us at 338-5100 or if anyone can help look after her until her family is found or a home can be found for her.

She is actually a full pit not a mix. We will be taking her home tonight if we do not hear from anyone.

I think I saw her,she was right in the middle of the street & very scared. I tried to call her but I was backing traffic up. Does she have a green collar? I can't take her cause already have 4 pits. She looked very sweet. Hope you can find someone to foster her.

Yes she has a green collar....she is a love bug. She is so sweet and scared....I think I know who's dog she is so we are trying to get a hold of him, but don't know for sure. She is so obedient also, knows how to sit and shake her paw. I hope that someone comes forward. She is well taken care of so someone must be missing her.

I took this dog home last night, she is the sweetest dog ever and so obedient. She slept right next to the bed all night, she is potty trained and so loving. She must belong to someone, but no one has called for her. Can someone foster this loving dog. I will try to add a photo of her but don't know how to on here. Can someone let me know if there is a rescue out there that would take her in?

If you still have her I would be willing to take her to my vet in Blue Jay to see if she's chipped.

909-887-8055 Devore Animal shelter

I would call them and leave a description of her with your contact info so if the owner is looking for her there's a chance they might be able to help. Also, call all the vets up here and let them know you have her in case the owner has contacted their vet looking for her.

I have phoned all the vets up here, Devore shelter and mountain human society.
She is more lab then pit according to my friend who does rescue up here. She maybe has a little pit in her but not much.
So far I have not heard anything.

Have you had her scaned for a chip yet?

The owner has been found and they have been reunited.

Great news! I kind of thought by the way you described her loving, well behaved disposition that she was someone's baby and that they would be looking for her. Thank-you for helping this pup.

That's GREAT Looktantastic, Thank you so much for rescueing her, did you tell them that they absolutely need to put tags on her? AND NOT let her roam. She is not car smart at all! I felt so bad that I didn't try to catch her but like I said I was holding traffic up & everyone started honking at the poor dog. Some people can be such selfish jerks!

THANK GOD!!! Great job, and thanks so much for keeping her safe. Hopefully they get tags put on her, and chiped if she's not already.

I'm so glad this was a match!

When I went to Goodwin's this afternoon I noticed a flyer on their board near the entrance that said LOST DOG-pitbull mix etc, but the biggest thing that caught my attention was the "green collar" mentioned on the flyer.
I had remembered reading about a lost dog pitbull mix on ROTW and someone wrote that it had a "green collar". So I noted the phone numbers on the Goodwin flyer, called the looktantastic folks and thank goodness it was a match!
Funny thing is, doing grocery shopping is not my thing - hate it! But I had someone with me that needed their darn milk and so there I was. Some things are meant to be and there was a reason I was there. I guess the moral of the story is? Not everyone has internet access but for those of us that do then don't bypass those homemade "lost dog" signs posted by those owners sending a message in the old fashioned "viral" way - Paper.
I am so glad this was a match! Did I already say that? One more time - I am so glad this was a match! You betcha! Hugs to the doggie, doggie parents and to the wonderful people at looktantastic for looking out for the lost dog.
Garsh, I Love happy endings!!
