Emergencies

Sweet Daisy was placed in a box by her owners & left for Animal Control to be picked up, where she would have been euthanized because she was pregnant. Well, the crafty kitty got out of the box & a kind hearted neighbor decided to help Daisy & her soon to be born babies with the help of our wonderful humane societies.
Daisy's babies were born recently, only 2. There is now only one surviving very healthy kitten. But shortly after the birth, Daisy had to be rushed to the vet & be hospitalized, because her eye started bulging. RFAH thinks that Daisy had had a fight at some point & received a wound that became infected. This is what's causing the eye to bulge so awfully. But despite the pain that you can only imagine Daisy to be in because of this, she is still taking fabulous care of her surviving kitten, so you KNOW that Daisy's a cat worth saving!!
So here's where we need your help!! This wonderful lady that had decided to help spare Daisy & her babies cannot afford a hospital vet bill. Among other personal issues, she is also dealing with a diabetic dog & just does not have any extra funds. It's been guesstimated that Daisy's bill should run about $300ish. If there is any way that you can help PLEASE call or go to Rim Forest Animal Hospital 337-8589 & say that you would like to help with Daisy (Cristine) Salbaux's bill. PLEASE!!!

I saw this poor cat last night when I stopped by the clinic- so sad... it really needs this surgery fast. I can't contribute because I have a big balance. Sorry.

Thankyou, so much, I wanted to update Daisys progress. The doctor wanted to keep Daisy to treat and monitor her wound. I have been checking in about Daisy. She is still held at the vet currently getting injections, the wound is healing and she is eating. When released she has to continue oral meditcation. I wanted to give you the correct spelling of my last name Falbaux, Cristine . I will also follow up with a phone call. Thanks, can we post this update and also anounce daisy and her kitten is available for a good home to a good person who will keep her as an indoor pet.

Hi Puppytoes! Actually this kitty and her son have been at the clinic all this time and are doing WONDERFUL!! Everyone there is in love with them both. Today they found a wonderful home TOGETHER! Her eye healed fine without surgery. Such a happy ending!!
