City or Devore shelter?

Hi everyone,

I had a friend ask me this weekend what shelter she should donate her old blankets to, Devore or San Bernardino? After months of prowling around on this site I have noticed there seems to be a lot of mention about the San Bernardino City Shelter but not so much about Devore. I was just wondering what shelter do you think is more “needy’ or I guess I should say, which one should I make donations to if I had to pick one? Or are they equally as needy? I know they both stink, but I am just wondering if anyone thinks one is worse off then the other so I can give my donations to that one.

Thank you so very much for your guidance.

If I had blankets, I think I would see if they could be split in half. If unable to do so, I would take them to one and save up more for the other one. All of these babies get cold! Have you tried calling both to find out which ones have heated kennels??? You are really Special for doing this, Thank you from an Animal Lover!

lmp, I can only speak for SB City Shelter, they are always in desperate need of blankets/towels. They are a pretty sad shelter, the animals get really cold in the winter and hot in the summer. I'm sure both shelters would be very appreciative!
