OMG!!!!! I can't imagine how that could happen nor how they could get it off his eye!!

My sister actually did this as a teenager with nail glue, which is pretty much the same thing. They had to slowly cut her eyelashes and pull the lids apart and then removed a thin layer that had formed over her eye. It was pretty awful.

One of my waitresses did that to herself years ago thinking she had grabbed her eye drops! Ouch/ and DUH, she was an adult.

This also happened to a friend of mine, thinking she was putting in eye drops she picked up nail glue instead. At the emergency room she was told that this actually happens quite often. They used some sort of solvent to get the eyelids unglued. The moral of the story is, make sure you don't keep fingernail glue anywhere near your eye drops!
