sorry for the double post.my kitten decided she wanted to help at the last moment.and no,i dont think i am perfect,just careful i guess.i really didn't want to get into the reason why,but i guess i should now.i lost a loved one years ago due to a careless driver.if there are more then 3 cars behind me i will pull over reguardless of the situation.my ex is a law enforcement officer as well as my son.the way i look at it is,one life saved may very well save another.hopefully you will never have to i.d. the bloody disfigured broken body of a loved one as i did.it is a horrible image that will never leave your mind,especially when it is the body of your first child.so now that my day is ruined because of some heartless people who responded to my post i will close in hopes of knowing that maybe i was able to open the eyes of at least one driver who is impatient behind the wheel of a potential death trap on a mountain road.

If it is true story I'm sorry for your loss. So why cause more harm to yourself or other drivers by "braking for tailgaters" and having them push you over an embankment or into the mountain? Please just move out of everybodies way.

Thanks for posting this thread. Just had one this morning going 30mph, then breaking to ten mph or less when another car and I were trying to pass - she was paralleling and not letting people pass, slowing down deliberately, hitting the brakes, as soon as we would get behind her again. (This was on the four lane 18)
Idiocy - trying to get people killed - almost got hit by the car behind ME who didn't have as good brakes as I do, when she'd hit the brakes. Here we go - SHE causes another car to smash into me, which shoves me into her, causing a potential fatal accident. Deadly games, it's not a joke. Can we file a driving report for this? I'll carry my camera and get her license plate.

I am sorry for your loss if true as well. BTW ever try to mark pieces of a person who crashed (in an aircraft) and that you knew very well? Working with and in the military you come to know a lot of loss, and you call me heartless. how was I to know about your loss if true? Something I am still trying to learn is how to keep my mouth shut - no that’s not right - how to express myself better so that people don’t take me the wrong way. I am still working at it. Perhaps you might want to try this as well.

kc10,just like you who didn't know the facts reguarding my thread,i too, did not know yours.guess were both guilty of "jumping the gun" before getting the whole story.i'm sorry for your loss as well,i'm only trying,like everyone else to get the point across to careless drivers who race on our mt. roads.seems like they are in a hurry to end their lives!we have such a beautiful mountain people,take the time to slow down and enjoy it.i must admit though,i do find it quite comical when a "bat out of hell"driver passes me and several others only to end up behind a semi who can't pull over until there is a large turnout and then sometimes they don't pull over at all. suddenly "the bat" becomes the slow driver who holds up traffic and were all behind him!funny how fate has a way of making things work.once again,sorry for any offense i may have caused you or anyone else.it was only meant for the people who try to turn our mt. into a race track.they know who they are and if this comment causes them to become defensive,it's probably because they are the "bat out of hell" drivers!they are probably flatlanders who really don't care anyway.mountain people,may we all stick together!
