CHP Q&A

The speed is 25 so why have I not seen the CHP setting here on Peninsula,and North Bay. where the cars are going 45.

Hey the CHP had the "Your Speed Is Thingy" on the North Bay Hill just off 173. I just can't figure out why they put it on the upside (very Steep) side...

I seen that to Funny going up hill.

I come out onto N Bay, off Voltaire, & lemee tell ya...
I've almost been taken out by speeders there on several occasions. One being just yesterday.
Yep, they were coming *up* the hill.

*It would also be nice to post an officer at N Bay & 173 to raise awareness for those who don't stop at the stop signs there.
Many folks don't look down toward Deer Lodge Park direction, & just take off without looking... If they even stop.
My family has had SO many close calls there, over the years, from people only half stopping there.
It's one to watch out for.
Be careful out there.

Papa the speeders are in excess here on the mountain and I don't get it. They are all in rush to go no where, it takes so little time to get anywhere up here, go the speed limit and leave in plenty of time....easy enough.

My point was you would have to have a 500 horse power dragster to be speeding where the CHP put the thing.... It wasn't too far from the stop sign...

if ya want to get there sooner, leave earlier

Two separate individuals were arrested last night on North Bay at Peninsula for DUI.

Don't you just love the people who tailgate on peninsula/Grass Valley. The speed limit is 25 MPH
