A friend of mine rescued a Lovebird from the shelter awhile back, she became very attached to the him, and he recently passed away. She's pretty devastated, and asked me if I would keep an eye out for anyone re-homing either a Lovebird or Cockatiel. If anyone needs a new home for their bird, please let me know. Thanks so much!

Sigh . . . I understand. I lost little Fige several weeks back to illness. I still automatically look towards her cage when I enter the library. I miss her. She was such a delightful soul.

If anyone has a budgie/parakeet, canary or finch that needs a home I too have an empty bird cage. The cats have promised to be nicer to the next bird. I cannot handle the needs of a parrot, but a small bird would be wonderful.
