Animal Control cannot take her. It has to be 2 neighbors, in 2 separate houses that live within 200 yards of your house to complain. And she has to be barking excessively 24 hours, which she is not. If animal control says they can take her I would fight it.
If you want to email me a picture of her with some information, I can email it to people and rescues that I know. jkmenell@charter.net.

Thanks for the information. She needs a good home with attention and deserves a little love.
I have no neighbors within 200 feet in any direction
...

Let me get the pictures together. She has gained some weight..

I had animal control come to my house once saying someone was complaining of my dogs barking 24/7. I told them that was impossible because my dogs don't stay outside and when they are outside going to the bathroom if they bark I call them to come in. I was upset because I knew it wasn't true. She told me what I told you. She also suggested to write down the hours that my dogs were outside everyday (because they have to be barking and left outside 24 hours a day) just in case they did pursue anything. So I did just in case. Nothing ever happened because it wasn't true. Animal control said they told this person to video tape my dogs barking and I told her if they did pursue anything that I would sue this person for trespassing on my property. Good luck! I'll be looking for an email of some pictures.

E-mail sent:

A couple found her, out on the back side of the mountain near our home, with a bad abscess on her neck. They took her to the local vet, who patched her up. He contacted us thinking we would want this "husky" looking dog.

She's mostly likely a mix of Pit Bull Terrier and Aussie Shepard. She's current on all of her shots, she was given boosters when she was with the vet. And, she's probably around 50 pounds and around 1-2 years old.

She's housebroken and spayed. She's a very good dog, and has a great disposition for possibly having been abused. (the vet thought so). She loves to play and she'll fetch. She loves walks and attention. And easily trainable.

We weren't really prepared to take on a dog. But, we agreed to keep her until she got better. She's all better now, the abscess is all healed and her fur is growing back. Plus, with school starting we can't really give all the attention she needs.

A teacher from the high school rescued her... and we took her in "temporarily." It has been months and we have neighbors that complain... even though to my knowlege, she isn't barking much. Not when we are home, and not when her shock collar is on. She sleeps inside at night.

Sweet dog.

She has short hair and a shiny coat. Sweet temperment. Blue eyes... she chews sticks and wood. Definitely not a husky. Maybe part border collie? We really don't know.
