We are re-locating to Washington and have to find loving homes for 5 puppies. Our situation is dire as we are leaving very soon. The puppies are 4 months old and are Australian Shepard/Terrier/Lab mix. When our dog was pregnant we had more people than we thought we would have puppies, who wanted one. But when the time came to take them, they all backed out. So we have been trying to find homes. Last month Parvo swept through our home and 3 of the 8 puppies died, 2 never came down with a symptom and 3 fought bravely for their lives for 7 days in isolation at Arrowhead Animal Hospital. They are now healthy and bouncy. It breaks our heart to have to leave them but we will be taking 2 dogs already. We need to find loving, forever homes for them. If you have room in your heart and home for one of our puppies please let us know. We will try to post pictures of them here. Thank you for your time.

These puppies are so adorable. There is a flyer at my store with pictures. I hope they find good homes soon.

Is there any way you could post pictures?

Thank you Jessie, they are so adorable.
We wanted to post pictures Beth but didn't know where. They didn't seem to fit into the "lost and found dog" pictures. And we couldn't figure out how to start a new category. Any suggestions?

I know you can post pictures right in this thread. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how. Can you e-mail me some pics? raddolphin@charter.net

Thanks

Beth this is the link to their pictures on the Mountain's Humane Societies web sight. They are at the bottom of the page under referrals. Their names are Carl, Hammie, Sagan, Aria and Skylar.

Sorry to be asking all of these random questions..but how big do you believe they are going to get?

Not a bother at all. Chloe, their Mom is 49 pounds. Their Dad was about the same size as Chloe. He was a med sized, black, long haired lab mix.

We are happy to say that one of our puppies (Skylar) has been adopted. She went to her new home this weekend. We still have 4 puppies left and we must leave on Wednesday. We have no room to take them and I am looking for adoptive or foster families to help. Mountains Humane Society will help with anything they can. Please drop me a line.

HELP still needed !

2 foster homes have been found in a hurry but these 2 pups need forever, loving, kind, safe, and good homes.

One foster home took Sagan due to the emergency of placing him. Another foster home came through for Hammie (female). Both pups are adorable but these 2 pups need homes!

Their birth family, the one's moving out of state, won't have their email for a few days so please email instead spamsqf@verizon.net (and see the info at the Mountains Human Society link given above).

Remember, these 2 are still puppies, even if 4 months old, patience and a nice sense of humor are required. They aren't leash trained or housetrained (potty) and need patient and consistent work on both. Otherwise Sagan and Hammie are neat pups and just need a great home.

Doggiestylesplus, thank you for offering and when is your next adoption day?
Sent: Thursday, July 10, 2008 04:53 PM
Our next adoption day will be this Saturday, July 12. We hope to see your loveing puppies, as well as those who have found foster homes. We'll try to find them all a permanent home.

Thank you Doggiestylesplus, 1 or 2 pups will probably be at your adoption day tomorrow (with guardian who can help interview potential new "parents" .

Any potential foster homes out there?

Little Sagan is in a good foster home but the fosterers really shouldn't be fostering. There's no real dog area outdoors available, making housebreaking rough on the foster peeps. Also, the foster home has had recent very serious illness that well could have been pet allergy. Sagan should have better space and more focus on socializing him, and his current foster home has had enough trouble and aren't recovered from it (including recent death in the family, not enough time for the pup due to job searching, financial issues, ongoing vehicle problems with vehicles, pressing deadlines - just too hard on the fosterers).

Is someone out there kind, loving, good with pups, patient, all those good things) who could foster Sagan?

If you foster Sagan there will be someone to help you with any pet adoption days he attends.

Or is anyone ready to give Sagan his forever wonderful home? He's named after Carl Sagan so surely there's a stellar home waiting for him .

email spamsqf@verizon.net (and see Sagan's photo and story at the MHSociety link given above).
