Sorry about that. I wrote a big comment that said who adopted which, but it didn't post when I hit post. Sigh. But on last Saturday's adoption we had:
The Cockapoo Female found a home with a lovely lady who promised to have her spayed, and alread has called for vouchers. YAY!!!!
The "ferile" Kitten went with a 25$ Voucher to a young lady who used to work on a farm and was able to hold, love and pet her. YAY!!!!
The small Maltese CHihuahua found a home with a young couple who've been searching for a pet for over a few months. They also got a taste of a training session for it, and fell in love with her. She was already altered and has found a loving home. YAY!!!
Justaphew had some interest from a young couple. The gentleman from Colorado loves the outdoors, camping swimming and exercise and fell in love with him. The lady also enjoys activities, and after they return from Holland they would like to adopt Him if he's still availabble. YAY!
Had we gotten more people in the shop we'd have definately adopted out more dogs, and we had an amazing turnover of animals. It was such a fun day!! I loved baby-sitting them all and playing with tghem all day so anyone is welcome to bring back or bring in their animals next Saturday. If it's cooler we'll definately have more people and find more homes.
The Schnauzer was a love bug! She's really sweet and sociable once she's out for a bit.
Justaphew and the puppy would go home with me if I could get away with any more dogs! They were both so sweet!
And the kittens were so friendly and adorable I couldn't believe no one took them home!
Our Kitty Vaccines are $9.99
I hope that's everything.

Hi Dave, You met my neighbor at the parade. She is a wonderfully energetic lady, lives alone, has no pets, a small fenced yard and (in my usual opinionated mannner) I think she needs a companion to walk the lake and keep her company. She likes golden retrievers and huskies and has had german shepards in ther past, but now, these breeds would be much too large for her small home. She liked LB (as he was the perfect size for her-or may-be just a little big) but she isn't especially crazy about labs and felt the dog didn't warm up to her (she wants a friendly outgoing animal-the kind that she could walk on a lease around the lake- probably a young fairly calm dog who could learn to be courteous towards other people and animals). She thinks my Athena is too "undisciplined" -I can't imagine why

Fortunately,my neighbor is also very serious about owning a pet- that is, if, she finds the right one, she makes a life-long commitment. So, since I've noticed your service to help find pets homes- I was sort of wondering if you might wish to stop by one day and ask her if you can help her find a suitable companion. Or perhaps, let me know if you find a nice dog you think she might like to meet. She lives directly across the street from me and my collies.

My current foster is very loving, and loves going for walks! He may be a good match for your friend.... He is a midsized dog in a small dog body (very short legs) he weighs 36 lbs. I can drive him over sometime to meet her if she may be interested. He is one year old, needs some work on the leash, but hes very smart and learns quickly! Let me know if she would like to meet him!

(Patrick) I will let Dave know that your neighbor might need a companion. I do know that there are a ton of small breeds at the Shelter, but we stopped adopting dogs from there for people due to the negative feedback we were recieving. If you give me a "make and model" I will update you as to what is available and it's temprament, and she can go to the shelter and pick it up. Other than that, we have another adoption day this Saturday. Hope we can help.

Its a shame that you had to stop adopting pets from the shelter. I think your were doing a really good thing and with a little tweeking here and there, I think it would have been a
second chance for a lot of animals that may not get one. Thanks for continuing to do what you can. Good Luck.

We may just have the perfect dog. Charmin is a small white terrier mix, about, knee height. Her foster parents love her and hate to get rid of her, but they can't keep her in their appartment. They're actually tempted to move. She's a sweet little girl, fixed, and friendly, but a bit timid. She howls a bit when anyone first abandons her, but as soon as you tell her no, she stops, and will be easy to train out of that when she has a permanent home. The poor thing loves anyone that takes her in, and is just waiting for some home to last.
