Time To "De-Lurk"

A Second Helping of a Favorite Topic

In the last few days, RIMOFTHEWORLD.net has had several "newbies" join the discussions by introducing themselves as previous "lurkers". This prompted me to revive the "Time To De-Lurk" blog written just over a year ago.

A few things have changed in the past year. The total number of visitors online is no longer displayed in green; however, it is still the top line of the blue column titles listed above.

We have implemented the RIMOFTHEWORLD.net Club where members receive discounts on classified ads, receive email or text messages on Alerts and news stories, and have access to an online scanner feed.

News staff members have been added to bring you current, relevant information. Our Town has moved to RIMOFTHEWORLD.net and a new weekly blog begins tomorrow.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading everyone's stories after the original "Time To De-Lurk" was posted. I look forward to reading yours.

I'm sure you have noticed the new feature on RIMOFTHEWORLD.net that displays the number of members signed in and the total number of visitors online as of right now. (If you haven't, the green bar is located at the top of the blue column titles above.)

Currently there are over 400 visitors not signed in - lurking, watching...

To all you lurkers, why not join in?

Even if you have posted before or if you never plan to post again, why not sign in and say "Hey there!" If you are unsure what to write, here are a few suggestions to get you started:
