"Thanks to the support of our customers," Patrick Scullin stated in a prepared statement issued to RIMOFTHEWORLD.net, "Scullin Images was able to donate $200 to ReLeaf."
Scullin Images donated $1 for every mountain community t-shirt or sweatshirt sold from July through September 1 when customers visited the Scullin Images online store at http://www.MountainShirts.biz.
Patrick and Kandra Scullin have operated Scullin Images in Running Springs since 2002, first as a part-time business and now as a full-time operation. The business, a member of the Running Springs Chamber of Commerce and ArrowNet business group, provides custom graphic design, web design, screen-printing and promotional printing services to the local mountain businesses and residents.
Scullin has also created the popular clothing line of t-shirts and sweatshirts designed exclusively for the mountain communities including Running Springs, Arrowbear, Lake Arrowhead, Green Valley Lake, Big Bear and Crestline, just to name a few.
Patrick Scullin, son of Kris and Mike Scullin, is a Running Springs native. His family has a long history of operating small businesses and being involved in the local community starting with his great grandfather Ray Ireland who founded Deer Lick Lumber, Inc. in 1956. Patrick graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in 1998 with a B.A. degree in Graphic Design. Patrick's wife Kandra is also a B.Y.U. graduate and is currently a print making professor in the Fine Arts Department at California State University San Bernardino. Ever since returning to the mountains in 1999, it became the Scullin's goal to pursue their artistic interests and operate their own business.
Mountain Communities ReLeaf volunteers have planted 100,000 seedlings on several hundred acres of land in the mountain and valley communities since it was formed in 2004 following the Old Fire. The efforts continued after the Slide and Grass Valley Fires in 2007.
