Running Springs Chamber Seeks Award Nominees (Update)Final Deadline Monday for Submissions By Michael P. Neufeld Update - Saturday 4:20 a.m. Running Springs, CA - The Running Springs Chamber of Commerce has announced a change in dates and times for submission of Make A Difference award nominees.
In person submissions must reach First Mountain Bank by 1 p.m. today (October 11). E-mail submissions are due by 11 a.m. on Monday (October 13).
Original Story Running Springs, CA – Nominations for Running Springs Area Chamber of Commerce Make A Difference awards are due Monday at 4 p.m. The annual awards will be presented on Friday, October 24.
The Chamber historically recognizes individuals, businesses and organizations for outstanding contributions to the mountain communities. The honorees "make a difference" in the communities via their support of the community, actions which improve or enhance the quality of life, and/or performance which creates a positive image of the area, among other things.

This year, the Running Springs Chamber is seeking nominations from the community-at-large for the awards. A committee consisting of Laura Dyberg, Terisa Bonito and Anna Heyerdahl will make the final selections.
Nominees can be any of the following:
The 2007 recipients are not eligible to repeat this year. They were Sandy Caplinger, Laurie Everett, The Bus Stop, Jensen's Minute Shoppe, Rim of the World Search & Rescue and the Running Springs & Arrowbear Firefighters' Associations.
You may submit more than one nomination but they must include the name of the nominee and reasons they deserve recognition. The committee urges persons submitting nominees to be as specific as possible and give examples of why they should be honored. The committee may also select recipients for new categories.

Nominees will be announced Tuesday, October 14.
