Non-Profit Resource Seminar StagedFree Workshop Sponsored by Supervisor Paul Biane By Michael P. Neufeld Rancho Cucamonga, CA - Local non-profit representatives attended the award-winning Non-profit Resource Seminar staged October 8, at the Central Park Community Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
"Non-profits provide a lot of beneficial services in our communities such as home-delivered meals for the elderly, sports activities for youth, and meals for the homeless, but they can't offer those services if they don't have the funds or the know-how to keep their non-profit viable," Board of Supervisors Chairman Paul Biane stated.

"I started the Non-profit Resource Seminar to give local non-profits the information and tools they need to secure funding, strengthen their organizations and remain viable resources for residents," Biane explained in a prepared statement.
The 7th annual Non-profit Resource Seminar features workshops geared to help non-profit groups secure funds, create partnerships, promote their organizations and more.
Professionals in fields such as non-profit fundraising, marketing, strategic planning, and board development will teach the workshops. The seminar is broken down into three sessions that last about an hour each. Participants get to choose from a list of workshops for each session so they can tailor their learning experience to their needs.
In addition, the Funders Forum – a panel discussion featuring representatives from Union Bank of California, the Verizon Foundation and Washington Mutual – will be held during the lunch hour. Non-profit representatives will have an opportunity to ask panel members questions.
The seminar will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on October 8 at the Central Park Community Center located at 11200 Baseline Road in Rancho Cucamonga. Lunch will be provided to seminar participants.
Non-profit representatives can register for the seminar online at http://www.sbcounty.gov/biane.
The Non-profit Resource Seminar is made possible thanks to the help of many generous sponsors including the Majestic Realty Foundation, Southern California Edison, Verizon, e-Civis, and the City of Rancho Cucamonga.
Please call (909) 945-4297 for more information about the seminar.
