Bloodmobile Visited Lake Arrowhead YesterdayLocated at Stater Bros in Lake Arrowhead Village By Michael P. Neufeld Lake Arrowhead, CA – Residents could "Give the Gift of Life" yesterday August 19) when the Blood Bank of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties sent its bloodmobile to Stater Bros. in the upper level of Lake Arrowhead Village.
All healthy mountain residents are invited to participating from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 28100 Highway 189.

For every lifesaving donation, participants will receive a complimentary coupon for a Stater Bros. smoothie, a free cholesterol test and points as part of the "Gift of Life" Donor Loyalty Program that may be redeemed for items through the Blood Bank's online store.

Healthy individuals at least 16 years of age may donate blood. Those 16 years of age must provide the Blood Bank with written parental consent. Parent consent forms are available at any donor center or community blood drive.
Donors who have celebrated their 76th birthday must provide the Blood Bank with annual, written physician consent. All prospective donors should be free of infections or illness, weigh at least 110 pounds and not be at risk for AIDS or hepatitis.
Donors receive a free mini-physical as part of the donation process. Donating blood takes about an hour, yet gives someone a lifetime. |
