MCH Offers Cholesterol Screening This WeekMountains Community Hospital By Michael P. Neufeld Lake Arrowhead, CA - Did you know that high cholesterol shows no symptoms, but can cause a heart attack, stroke, or even death? Mountains Community Hospital in Lake Arrowhead is offering a Total Cholesterol and HDL (good Cholesterol) screening for only $10 at the hospital's lab during the week of September 8-12 anytime from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It only takes a minute. Just print this RIMOFTHEWORLD.net article and bring it to the lab and say you are there for the cholesterol screening – no need to check in at the front desk. You will need to fast for 8-12 hours prior to your screening.
Cholesterol levels are also affected by other causes than genetic. If you are a smoker, or eat too much saturated fat (trans fat or cholesterol), or are physically inactive, all of these factors can affect your chances of having atherosclerotic disease.
Artery-narrowing effects of high cholesterol can increase risks for other conditions such as:
Mountains Community Hospital is located at 29101 Hospital Road in Lake Arrowhead.
