Supervisors Approve Plans for Project

Crestline, CA - A mandatory pre-bid meeting for prospective bidders on the Lake Gregory Dog Park is scheduled for today (September 30) at 10 a.m. at the park's headquarters at 24171 Lake Drive.

All firms submitting bids on the Dog Park are required to participate. Bid opening is scheduled for October 14.

Crestline, CA – The Lake Gregory Dog Park is one step closer to reality after the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors voted to advertise for bids for the facility to be located at Lake Gregory Regional Park.

"A lot of us have been working on this for over two years," Crestline resident Doe Huff told RIMOFTHEWORLD.net, "and it looks like the Dog Park is going to become a reality."

"The dog park will be a great addition to all the current and planned amenities around Lake Gregory," Supervisor Paul Biane stated in a prepared media release. Biane listed the skate park, historic San Moritz Lodge and the new Crestline Library as some of those amenities at Lake Gregory.

Under the plan being put out for bid, the dog park will feature two fenced areas, one for small dogs and another for large canines. The project also consists of the replacement of the chain link fence at the south beach entry that has deteriorated over the years due to time and weather conditions.

The bid opening is set for Tuesday, October 14 at 3 p.m. in the office of the Architecture and Engineering Department (385 North Arrowhead Avenue – San Bernardino).

The project budget is $200,000 with construction costs amounting to an estimated $166,400.
