The media advisory indicated that May had allegedly been diverting packages from the UPS Riverside Distribution Center (1391 Spruce Street) to the two residences searched by detectives. Officers determined relatives of the UPS employee reportedly own the two homes.
Riverside investigators, who took eight months to build their case against the 20-year UPS employee, reportedly located and retrieved furniture, televisions, laptop computers and other hand held electronic devices valued at about $25,000 at residences in both communities.
The investigation by Riverside detectives is ongoing with the assistance from UPS Internal Security.
May, who posted $5,000 bail, was released on her own recognizance from the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning on October 4. She faces charges of grand theft and embezzlement of over $400.
The next scheduled court appearance for the Devore resident is at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, November 3.
