Update — Wednesday 8:05 a.m.

Crestline, CA — The investigation into the death of a 4-year-old Crestline boy continues and an autopsy has been requested to determine the cause of death.

A news release issued late Tuesday by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department reported there were no obvious signs of trauma during the initial investigation.

Twin Peaks Sheriff's deputies and Crest Forest Fire personnel responded to the 400 block of Delle Drive in Crestline at 3 a.m. May 13 for a child not breathing, according to a media release issued by the Sheriff's Department.

Upon arrive at the Delle Drive location, the media advisory stated, paramedics found the child was already deceased.

The San Bernardino County Coroner was notified and responded to the Crestline residence and began an investigation that is ongoing, spokesperson Sandy Fatland told RIMOFTHEWORLD.net
