Update — The columns will begin running in March. The first submission deadline for columns is February 25. Please submit sample columns, along with a biography and photo, artwork, or logo, if available. Also, please let us know how frequently you can update your columns (i.e., weekly or monthly or some other interval).

There is be no fee associated with the column, however, it is be a great opportunity for local professions or group advocates to promote their businesses or organizations.

Of particular interest are topics regarding real estate, finances, lending, home construction and repair, local education, senior issues, local government, forest management, spiritual matters, local sports and school events, business associations, and local history.

The columns could be editorial, tutorial, or journalistic in nature. They should be about 300 to 500 words in length. (For reference, this message is 186 words long.) Photos or diagrams, where applicable, would be helpful, but are not needed. Longer columns could be broken into a series.

The columns must be original works and references to outside works should be noted. The contributor will retain copyright to the column and will have a brief biographical paragraph at the end of the column. I would also like to have a photograph of the contributor for the byline, or a business or organization logo.

There is a sample column demonstrating the size and layout. For additional questions, please see the Columnists Discussion Group or Contact Us.
